Navraj Nandra joined Synopsys in February 2005 as Director of Product Marketing for the mixed-signal products that include SERDES, USB and DDR2. He has worked in the semiconductor industry since the mid 80's as an analog/mixed signal IC designer for Philips Semiconductors, austriamicrosystems, (San Jose & Austria) and EM-Marin (Switzerland). He has been responsible for the complete design of a number of analog front ends in application areas such as digital audio, RFID and automotive. He joined Synopsys from Barcelona Design where he was Director of Application Engineering. During his four years at Barcelona he was responsible for pre- and post-sales support for Barcelona's analog synthesis technology. Navraj holds a masters degree in Microelectronics, majoring in analog IC design, from Brunel University and a post-graduate diploma in Process Technology from Middlesex University. He has presented at numerous technical conferences on mixed-signal design, analog IP and analog synthesis/EDA.
Massimo Vanzi is a highly experience manager with over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and in the last 12 years specializing in electronic design services business. Mr.Vanzi holds a degree in Electronics from the University of Genoa and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, California. After three years in the US as a part time research assistant and a part time employee at Signetics Co. he came back to Italy and joined SGS in Milan in 1980. When Massimo left STMicroelectronics in 1993 to join Accent he was responsible within Central R&D organization of EDA design flows and libraries for the whole ST Group. In 1993 he helped set up Accent together with STMicroelectronics and Cadence. Vanzi has worked on several European research programs and is presently MIUR (Italian Ministry for University and Research) revisor. He contributes articles to many specialist publications, lectures at international conferences of the electronic industry and lead courses at the University of Genova and the University of Pisa.
Reporting to the founders, David heads the ASIC design group at Matrox Graphics with a staff of 50 full-time employees comprised of architects, ASIC design and verification specialists, computer scientists, and technical writers, as well as 8 to 10 part-time students at any given time. David’s direct responsibilities include R&D as well as project and resource planning and management, from concept to mass production.
David joined Matrox in 1994 on a part-time and summer student basis while studying at Concordia University. Following the completion of his studies in 1996, he was offered a permanent position in the Company’s technical support department. In 2002, David was promoted to his current position as ASIC Projects Manager. Over the course of his career, David has gained excellent knowledge and is today considered an expert on all design related methodologies issues and processes.
